Textile Origin Story:

A while back I was commissioned to do a huge painting of two snakes. My client had seen photos of a pair of skis I painted for my husband and wanted the same subject for her painting. She was largely in Africa during the time I was working on the piece. As it would have been impossible to modify the ombré background after painting the snakes I took many photos to send to her for approval before proceeding. I ended up creating this batik style textile from those photos and named the print for her, Cherri. The painting now lives with her in Africa. This blue/green color way is named Alex, after my web designer!
