Textile Origin Story:

Colorado's Central City was once known as the richest square mile on earth because of its gold. On a spontaneous outing to this historic town, I spied this little shack. It was ancient and covered entirely with patches of rusted metal. I took dozens of photos of the surface. Years later I created this design from one of the photos. I have gotten a lot of mileage from this textile having designed a huge array of colors. This particular piece is also known as Tribe and part of a brand new collection for me that includes a pale vintage yellow heart as part of several pieces. Love is not to be reserved just for the significant other in your life; it is also for the people who are like minded and to whom you hold dear. Yellow is a marker of fondness, curiosity, warmth, and love. I think of the yellow heart as a gift to my tribe.
