Textile Origin Story:

Colorado's Central City was once known as the richest square mile on earth because of its gold. On a spontaneous outing to this historic town, I spied this little shack. It was ancient and covered entirely with patches of rusted metal. I took dozens of photos of the surface. Years later I created this design from those photos. I have gotten a lot of mileage from this textile having designed a huge array of colors. In my interior design business I have a client who loves white (as in the complete absence of color type white). I was inspired by my work with her to do several white textiles, including this file. I love that this piece looks like vintage patchwork white leather. For this piece I did the stripe in black and added a sliver of magenta - love it on the white!
