Textile Origin Story:

Hard to imagine that this vibrant sunset colored textile started out as a pencil drawing. It is the same pattern used for Morris. I did it as a transparent overlay on top of my Central City textile. I amped up the saturation on the Central City textile so the brightness could pierce through the semi transparent drawing. What I am creating digitally in these layered textiles very much has its roots in the historic French glazes I used to do as a faux finisher back in the 90s; very saturated base with a semi transparent overlay.
