Textile Origin Story:

Recently I was given the opportunity to work with the Stanford University diving team to interpret textiles into the university's colors, cardinal and white. I created a suite of workout gear for the women's team for dry land and weight room training. In 2025 I started experimenting with the concept of laying my drawings over existing designs. In this way I have treated patterns like Nesting, Central City, and Izzy as staging for my original graphite drawings. As an interior designer one of my super powers has been the mixing of textiles making this a very intuitive progression for me. This layering became a fulcrum for one of my two designs for Stanford. I recolored Izzy to Stanford's cardinal red and brightened Robin's Flower to represent the white creating garments that marry fine art and athleticism.
