Textile Origin Story:

Recently I was given the opportunity to work with the Stanford University diving team to interpret my textiles into the university's colors, cardinal and white. I created a suite of workout gear for the women's team for dry land and weight room training. I loved the idea of working with the Katrina pattern for several reasons. Originally I designed the pattern for a project I did with a Denver based mosaic artisan that ultimately ended up in a primary bath shower just up the road from Palo Alto (and the owner is a Stanford Grad!). Translated into digital format, it became a custom for Olympic diver Katrina Young for a photo shoot we did in 2024. It lent itself perfectly to be adapted for the team colors. The original panels were turquoise and arctic white and were designed as an ombré. This worked easily for a successful palette.

• In areas where the fabric is double-layered (like pockets), details from the inner fabric layer may subtly show through, especially with lighter designs.
• Please note that contact with rough surfaces should be avoided since they can pull out the white fibers in the fabric, damaging the sports bra.
