Textile Origin Story:

This piece is one of my fine art graphite drawings. It is in a collection I have been working on during my travels. I have been carrying this small sketchbook with me for several years now and have done about ten drawings to date. This one features a sunflower I drew from a photograph I took at Linn Canyon Ranch in the Tetons. The sunflower was the centerpiece in my sister-in-law's bouquet on her wedding day. All of the flowers at the wedding were grown at the ranch and a bunch of the ladies put together the table arrangements and bouquets the day before. The reference photo was also used in one of my digital textiles called Whit Wit.
