Textile Origin Story:

The pattern PJ was a long distance collaborative piece. I have been wanting to do a project with live flowers for more than ten years! PJ is named for the artist who made that happen. She is the childhood friend of a family I have worked with for over thirty years. I knew her since she was just a peanut! I had been following the arc of her company, Leafy Lane Florals, when I decided I needed to finally make that happen. Her incredible eye for detail had really caught my attention. We did a back and forth of ideas  as she crafted arrangements that could be adapted for textile design. Her husband had a great camera for the high resolution images I needed and with the help of her toddler son Tommy it all came together quite quickly! This is the first finished piece. Look for more PJ pieces to pop up in the coming months!
