Textile Origin Story:

The Whit Wit textile is named for my sister-in-law, Whitni. I sampled it from this beautiful photo from her wedding day at Linn Ranch in the Tetons. There were gorgeous flowers on all the tables and this particularly stunning variegated sunflower was the center piece of her bouquet. All of the flowers were picked locally for the wedding with many of us participating in making the arrangements. In the photo she is holding her bouquet wrapped around the trunk of an aspen tree (which you see in the light colored space in the center of the pattern). I desaturated, then tinted the file to a green/gold color to get that vintage quality. I have also used several of the sunflower photos I took at the ranch as reference for graphite drawings over the years.
