Textile Origin Story:
This textile is an archive piece. The archive pieces were all created for the original collection for the Studio2eleven Textile Company over ten years ago. In a million years I could never create the steps I took to design this textile pattern again! The original image was a photo I took in Central City, Colorado. I was on a day trip with my husband and niece when I saw this ancient, small building. It was covered in patches of rusted metal and I took several photos of it. I thought it was a great reference for the layered interior paint finishes I was doing at the time. Years later I came across it and started altering it for digital textiles. The first pattern I created was Central City. From there I cut the files at different angles ending up with the patterns of Jackie, Ash Lee, and more recently TOSU. I named this pattern for an artist friend I worked with during and after my DC days. However, here's a fun fact, my model Jenn had a baby girl a few years after this photo shoot and named her Jacqueline (of course Jacqueline also has her own namesake pattern).
