Textile Origin Story:

Medici, for all of you historians of art, is the family name of the patrons of Michelangelo. I recently completed an interior design project for my very first client with whom I have been working for over thirty years! She has been a great supporter of the arts and from the very first day she always encouraged me to spread my wings and think outside of the box. For many years she has had the nickname Mary Medici. This pattern was cut from a mosaic I designed for her kitchen. I had over 100 hours into the design process. Happy to report it is a knockout! If you see some crossover in style between this and Izzy, that's because I was very inspired by that textile as I was designing this piece.
