Textile Origin Story:

I designed the Iced textile from a photo I took while back country skiing. There was a lot of hoar frost which happens when airborne vapor freezes an attaches itself to snow or other objects. The process creates something that looks like frozen white feathers and can be quite tall. At the bottom of the spot where I was skiing I saw these even bigger formations that looked like delicate crystals but in fact are ice. I made them into a medallion type kaleidoscope pattern. On this piece I added the tux stripe detail.
