Textile Origin Story:

Falcon, in part, is from a huge body of work I did on site in Valdivia, Chile. I was the interior designer for a custom built Catamaran. We ended up painting all of the hatch covers as individual art pieces. My suggestion was to make them look like the inlaid bone furniture that comes from Rajasthan, India. We also painted a mural covering the entire floor of the salon including a compass rose with sea searpants. We did northern hemisphere air and sea creatures on one side and southern on the other. I have no idea what happened to the full photo of the Icelandic Falcon but I did have a great photo of the wing! I melded this file together with another mural that creates the skeletal section. Worth noting, the owner sailed away and I've never heard from him since!
